Law on Culture

In 2004, the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Serbia engaged the artistic associations (through the Coordination Committee) in the project of elaboration of the Law on Culture, together with the representatives of other institutions of culture and 3 representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Serbia. It should have been the basic law from which there would derive the specific laws on theatre, film, music, and the like. While doing the elaboration of the Law, there have been also made references to similar laws of some other countries, especially to that of Slovenia which had been used as the starting point for further work.
However, during the year 2005, elaboration of the Law stagnated and, finally, stopped.
