The Assembly is the supreme administrative organ of the Association, consisting of all the UMUS members. Its sessions are convened, at the necessity, but at least once a year. The Electoral Assembly is convened every second year. The Assembly functions through its sessions and brings the legal decisions if there are present more than a half of its members. If the necessary number of the members is not obtained, the Assembly continues its work after 30 minutes and brings the legal decisions by the majority of votes of the present members.

Presidency is a collective body, executive organ of the Assembly of the Association. The Presidency members are elected by the Assembly for the forthcoming two-year period, and the Presidency is responsible to the Assembly for its performance. One person cannot be elected the member of the Presidency for more than two succeeding election periods.
The Presidency consists of the following members:
- President and Secretary, by capacity of their offices;
- 7 persons, elected by the Assembly among its members.
The Presidency of the Association performs its assignments at the sessions presided and convened by the President of the Association. The Presidency works and brings decisions within the range of its competences legally if there are more than a half of the members present at the session. The decisions are made by the majority of votes of the present members.

President of the Association is the elected person who represents the Association before the third parties and the public in general. The President of the Association signs all the Association’s acts and correspondence. The President presides the sessions of the Assembly and the Presidency. The President is elected by the Assembly, among their members, for a two-year period. One person can be elected for this function for not more than two succeeding election periods.

Secretary of the Association is the person elected by the Assembly for a two-year period. One person can be elected for this function for not more than two succeeding election periods. The Secretary carries out and realizes the decisions made by the Assembly and the Presidency and manages directly the performance of the Association Working Unit. In cases of absence of the President, it is the Secretary who represents the Association and signs the official acts and correspondence of the Association.

UMUS Commissions are established by the Presidency, as its operational bodies, consisted of the members of the Association. The election period of the Commissions lasts two years, with the possibility of re-election. Each Commission has 5 members, who elect their President among themselves. The Commissions respond for their operation to the Presidency. The UMUS has the following Commissions:

1. The Commission for organization of concerts
2. The Commission for acceptance of new members
3. The Commission for the independent artist’s status
4. The Commission (or jury) for the UMUS Award
5. The Commission for Statute and other normative acts

Working unit of the UMUS performs, for the needs of the Association, the administrative, expert, technical and other assignments determined by the Regulations and the Statute. The members of the Working Unit are employed by the association, on regular basis, and have all the rights and liabilities related to the employment, pursuant to the legal provisions.
